Girlfriend Troubles!!

OMG...so I am going to share with you a discussion Cash, AJ, and I had after school one day.  I can't believe that this came out of the mouth of my Kindergartener.  I thought....is this really happening!  I am truly NOT ready for this as innocent as it is.  As Cash is telling the story he is dead serious and all I could do was sit there and listen, hiding the laughing and crying that I was feeling inside.

Cash starts: So.....I almost had to break up with my girlfriend today.  

We say: Oh really, what happened? Why?....

Cash: Well  you see the problem is...is that everyone is just in love with her.

Us: What do you mean?

Cash: Brody is in love with her too and wants to be her boyfriend too.

Us: So what are you going to do?

Cash: Well we came up with this plan...I get her one day and Brody gets her the next.

Us: Really, well as long as you've worked it out.

GEESH!!! Are you kidding me!  

So the following day was Cash's day and it was the day they were celebrating Easter at school.  We asked him how his day with Janie went and he said, Good, but I shared the day with Brody.  WE decided on holidays we would both get her for half of the day.  

REALLY!!  I will say ...she is a cutie!!

Boosterthon Fun Run!

Thank you to everyone that sponsored Cash for his Boosterthon Fun Run at school. I wish you all could have seen how excited he has been this past week and all the hard work he did to get ready for it. We have been running outside and biking to prepare...he wanted to finish his 35 laps before time was called. So proud of my little man...he made it with one minute to spare! ; ) After school we celebrated by going to his favorite place to eat, Panda Express. He said he needed to eat a lot because he lost weight today because of his run. ; ) He continues to brighten my days with his thoughts, spunk and energy. Thank you to Aunt Dawn for cheering him on along the way and capturing this all on video and with pics!

The Great and Powerful Oz!

Another date day with my boy. He wanted to go see this movie, so I thought okay...lets try it. At one point in the movie when the good witch was going to turn into the mean ugly witch I leaned down to him and said okay so this part may be scary. He said, "Mom you know this is just pretend!" From the mouth of a babe! He's growing up so fast!!

Family Fun Run

We decided to go run as a family tonight...AJ would like to start working out again. Cash was excited at first but then decided next time he should just ride his bike with us. He made it a half mile before having to walk. Go Cash!!

Zoo Field Trip

I was able to take the day off and go to Cash's Field Trip to the zoo.  It was so nice being a chaperone at the field trip instead of the one in charge for the day.  Cash and I got to walk around with his two buddies, Brody and Joseph.  The highlight was when they all got to feed the Giraffes.  When his class loaded the bus and was headed back to school, Cash and I went back inside for a train ride and to see the new dinosaur exhibit.  Jayden and his mom came with us.  Cash thought it was a bit scary and that the dinosaurs looked so real.  He thought it was hilarious when the one dinosaur shot water all over Jayden's mom.  : )
